In May, the University celebrated the move of the College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering (CNSE) into its new home in the renovated former Albany High School on the Downtown Campus. “This building embodies UAlbany’s commitment to Albany and our region’s high-tech future,” said President Havidán Rodríguez at the event, attended by local officials, community leaders and university faculty and staff. The 112-year-old neo-classical building now features modern teaching and research spaces, including state-of-the-art labs, a maker/tinker space and collaborative learning areas, while retaining its signature architectural details.
