With the start of the fall 2024 semester, the University announced the College of Integrated Health Sciences (CIHS), unifying UAlbany’s Schools of Social Welfare and Public Health and bringing together programs in public health, social welfare and nursing. Erin Bell, a professor of epidemiology, biostatistics, and environmental health, has been named dean of CIHS. Since joining the School of Public Health in 2002, Bell has held numerous leadership roles and served as interim dean of SPH this past year.
