On “World RNA Day” on Aug. 1, the University at Albany’s RNA Institute celebrated its new designation as a Center of Excellence in RNA Research and Therapeutics (CERRT) in partnership with the University of Rochester. CERRT will collaborate with biotech companies like Regeneron, Pfizer, and Curia to develop new therapeutics and train biotechnology workers. RNA Institute Director and Keith Hynes Endowed Professor in STEM Andy Berglund and Distinguished Professor Thomas Begley will co-lead CERRT at UAlbany.
