Total America East Conference Indoor Track titles earned by UAlbany's women's and men's teams, respectively. The two teams reclaimed the top spots in February.
University at Albany Head Football Coach Greg Gattuso was named the inaugural recipient of the prestigious Walter Camp Foundation FCS Coach of the Year award following the team’s historic season. UAlbany claimed its first conference title and advanced to the national championships semifinals before falling to top seed and eventual national champions South Dakota State.

University at Albany will be the first academic institution in the world to receive the IBM Artificial Intelligence Unit (IBM AIU), a prototype system-on-a-chip architecture that has been optimized for AI inferencing — the process of running live data through a trained AI model to solve a task — which will be installed as part of the University's Center for Emerging Artificial Intelligence Systems (CEAIS). CEAIS is a research collaboration with IBM that enables students, faculty, and others to run foundation models and advance generative AI research.
